Only all-natural or organic ingredients are used in all SliCE locations. We source our products locally every day to ensure freshness, and our award-winning dough is prepared fresh every morning. We carefully select each ingredient supplier based on their high standards and commitment to offering the healthiest product possible. We believe in living a chemical-free, free-trade, non-GMO, all-natural, sustainable, green, and earth-friendly lifestyle. There’s nothing artificial here and nothing you can’t say.
SliCE is a family-owned and runs Trenton Style Pizzeria and organic food restaurant with two locations in Philadelphia and Sewell, Washington Township, New Jersey that offers gluten-free, vegan options . Recently, there has been some confusion; please remember that we do not own or operate any other location with the same name. SliCE is only available at these locations.
Some people wonder, “What is Trenton Style pizza?” The cheese comes first, followed by the sauce. Every day, we create our dough from scratch. We start with a house-made, organic, hand-crushed San Marzano tomato sauce, lightly top it with all-natural mozzarella, then cook it to a golden-brown crisp. Lastly, we add extra virgin olive oil and parmigiana Reggiano cheese.
SliCE was founded in 2007 by myself, Marlo, and my husband Jason to fill a need we saw in Philadelphia with our Italian Market location. We introduced our award-winning pizza to Rittenhouse Square in 2010. In 2012, we teamed up with my sister-in-law Janis and Frank Brockway to introduce our pizza to Sewell, New Jersey. We inaugurated our Fishtown facility in 2016. We also owned and ran P’unk Burger, an organic burger and shake restaurant on East Passyunk Avenue.
Our family was small when we started. But, as it develops, so do we, and we’re devoted to offering only the most outstanding ingredients to our family and yours! When we first started, we prepared pizza for just the two of us for months. We baked and tasted, combined, and flipped until we got something that we thought would outperform any Americanized slice of pizza available. Some call us gourmets, but we consider ourselves the pizza that was always intended to be.
